Although the possibilities for kids' birthday parties are endless, there is one source of inspiration that never fails to captivate both adults and children alike - Disney. For Bella's 2nd birthday celebration, Minnie Mouse provided the perfect theme for Chaika's team of expert event planners to work their magic. With guests of all ages in attendance, the blend of timeless nostalgia and contemporary touches ensured everyone remained under the Disney spell.
Solution:
The ballroom at London's Mandarin Oriental Knightsbridge exceeded the venue brief, offering the perfect canvas to create a fantasy land. The pillared space, fit for a Disney Princess (they've hosted real-life royalty), has plenty of exquisite features and the open-plan layout of the room allowed the Chaika team to create zones for entertainment and feasting.
Our superpower lies in immersing guests into the theme from the moment they step inside the party. The grand staircase led partygoers to the Disneyfied room, where they were greeted with the pastel-pink scene. On a raised stage, balloons framed the bespoke Minnie Mouse centerpiece, personalised with the birthday girl's name - the ideal backdrop for photos and entertainers. Bringing a slice of Disneyland festivities to the party, we installed a vintage-inspired carousel, bringing back fond memories for the adults and lots of fun for the children. On either side of the stage miniature banquet settings were adorably decorated with coordinating floral arrangements, and the bespoke details continued with Bella's name gracing each chair.

Joined by her fellow professional fairies, Shari and her team are experts at kicking off a party with enthusiastic sing-alongs and fun dance routines. Before long, it was time for Bella's favourite characters to make an appearance, as Minnie and Mickey took to the stage for a birthday song.

Fairy Shari, Minnie, and Mickey returned for plenty of fun and games before the kids settled down for an arts and crafts session, the perfect way to conserve their energy before our signature paper disco - the sea of confetti and music always provides lots of fun and picture-perfect shots. A showstopping birthday cake rounded off the celebration before the perfect party favours were given to each guest to take home - Minnie Mouse rucksacks as a memento of their magical afternoon.
