“WELCOME TO LAPLAND” CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR, 2015

December 2, 2015

This stunning Christmas event took place on 28 November 2015, in the stylish ballroom of the Berkeley Hotel, Knightsbridge.

Chaika Events curated a very special Christmas celebration by creating the unique atmosphere of a fairytale Lapland scene. The magical experience began with guests being greeted by real reindeer on arrival, and during the day being able to spend time with some live, and very friendly penguins, who were enjoying their own little ‘ice rink’ in the main hall, and an animatronic polar bear gave everybody a chance for a photo opportunity with a ‘giant’ of the ice world.

For the children, Santa’s grotto offered a photo opportunity and a gift, while balloon modellers created fantastic creatures and astonishing balloon hats for all. Beautifully decorated food stations offered popcorn and candy floss to the guests, while the arts and crafts area allowed children to make and decorate a crown, some reindeer horns or a sparkling Christmas decoration to take home.

Desserts, festive treats and champagne and canapés kept adults entertained while juggling Ice People performed amazing magical tricks in glowing costumes that gave a theatrically icy flavour to the event. The Chaika Events team went all out to provide a wintry extravaganza of taste and experience and a key feature of the day was a ‘Lapland’ white chocolate fountain with snowdrifts of marshmallows for dipping.

A highlight of the day was a festive performance about the adventures of Santa’s Reindeer, accompanied by Foxy, the Snow Queen and Snow King and – of course – Santa Claus himself.

Before they left, all the children were given special gifts from their Lapland fairytale as a souvenir of their great winter adventure at The Children’s Christmas Spectacular 2015.
